Client Executive - Natural Resources

The Role

The Client Executive oversees all account management activities to reach strategic client service, retention.  In this role you will work closely with the other members of the client service and broking teams to ensure that the needs of the clients are met or exceeded for all client deliverables.

Client Executive function is the backbone of our account management teams working collaboratively to meet and exceed client expectations.  They interact regularly with both clients and insurance carriers to negotiate insurance programs that provide the best coverage protection. If you enjoy actively preparing for client meetings, researching and gathering industry data, coordinating necessary information, working on new and renewal marketing strategies and building and maintaining long term relationships this role would suit you well.  

Client Executives perform a variety of high level and strategically focused tasks and are responsible for a variety of critical activities including:

  • Develop, maintain, strengthen client relationships at a senior level
  • Collaborate with Client Service Teams to ensure client service delivery at all levels
  • Conduct needs analysis, design bespoke and responsive insurance programs
  • Design, prepare, negotiate and deliver client engagement documents (fee/compensation)
  • Manage all client deliverables and delivery within mandated timeframes
  • Prepare proposals and presentations of appropriate products and services, utilizing WTW resources, practice and industry groups
  • Identify, engage and integrate delivery of all WTW resources to deliver solutions to clients
  • Regularly contact existing clients to ensure quality service is being delivered and client retention rates are maintained
  • Collaborate with the broader team on design of prospect strategies and growth pipelines
  • Request and implement policy changes and wordings to ensure clients are receiving the broadest coverage available in the marketplace and tailor specific endorsements to address client exposures
  • Ensure Willis Towers Watson Excellence Model (WTWEM) compliance is followed
  • Accountable for Monthly Accounts Receivable review/collection
  • Develop marketing strategy with client including timing, markets, and success outcomes
  • Negotiate with the markets for expected outcomes
  • Provide real time updates to the service team of all marketing activity to provide expected documentation for the renewal proposal
  • Inform the client of progress in the market daily (or agreed cadence) and discuss final market decisions
  • Provide direction to both the servicing and broking teams
  • Prepare proposals and presentations of appropriate products and services, using marketing resources, practice groups and other technical specialists
  • Review proposed renewal with client service team
  • Review policy documents and endorsements for accuracy within the required timeframe
  • Provide annual input for the performance review of team members
  • Provide real time / quality feedback to service team members; assist team members in personal and professional development

The Requirements

  • 8+ years of commercial property and casualty experience and client management
  • CIP and CRM designations preferred
  • Alberta Level 2 Agent’s License
  • Proven insurance industry experience related to servicing middle market and large and complex accounts
  • Strong technical knowledge of product area and industry
  • Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management on risk management issues
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills, including relationship-building skills with clients and co-workers
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for exceptional client service delivery
