Senior Risk Control Consultant

The Senior Risk Control Consultant is responsible for providing casualty risk control services to clients and account management teams. By designing and implementing casualty risk control programs and procedures we can effectively improve our clients’ operational efficiencies and reduce loss exposures to positively impact their overall cost of risk.

The Role

  • Senior Risk Control Consultants provide casualty risk control advocacy and consulting services to clients. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Has extensive experience in helping clients to mitigate risk that affect workers compensation, general liability and auto insurance frequency and costs
  • Assist clients in risk identification, quantification and mitigation
  • Helps to develop pre-loss consulting strategy including analytics and diagnostics
  • Consults with clients regarding current and future desired states to mitigate risks
  • Helps develop and execute the strategies of the practice
  • Supports new business initiatives with sales proposals, presentations and RFPs
  • Responsible for client retention through effective advocacy and client focused service
  • Manage the quality and appropriateness of client service agreements 
  • Ensure appropriate program design and documentation

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, business, engineering, technology or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar role required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CSP, ARM and/or Ergonomics designations are preferred
  • Bilingual in speaking and writing are preferred
  • Advanced Excel analytics skills are preferred
  • Ability to create the most complex and successful strategies for risk mitigation
  • Knowledge of Loss Control & Safety procedures including but not limited OSHA, MSHA, ANSI and DOT.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures and processes involving government agencies and insurance companies.

  • Understand the basic process and value of data analytics and benchmarking
  • Shall excel in communicating technical information orally and in writing
  • Ability to analyze and report financial data to internal and external clients

  • Ability to handle moderate to high complexity within their discipline
  • Can work independently and remotely when needed
  • Receives moderate to minimal supervision
  • Can communicate professionally both Client and Market Information
  • Directly handle clients – client needs tend to be more sophisticated based on the nature of the product provided
  • Maintain local and regional relationships with all major trading partners
  • Monitor the performance of trading partner’s services for your clients
  • Participate in strategic large client meetings as required
  • Manage the appropriate level of resources for our client
