Jeff Goldblum Revealed His Gay Brother Underwent Conversion Therapy
Jeff Goldblum revealed in an interview that his father sent his late brother to conversion therapy “in order to fix” his homosexuality, ‘Out’ reports.
The actor said about his father that he had a “traditional masculine sense of himself” and was often cruel to his gay brother.
“He didn’t tell the rest of us,” Goldblum said. “Sent him to a therapist in order to ‘fix him’. It was all secret. That’s not so nourishing.”
“My dad was, without knowing why, conspicuously cruel to [Lee] at times.”
He added that his brother Lee faced “troubles of one kind or another” including “physical ailments, [being] overweight, pharmaceuticals abuse and self-medication issues.”
