Kimberly Hart-Simpson Comes Out As Bisexual
Coronation Street’s Kimberly Hart-Simpson has come out as bisexual while expressing her support to the LGBT+ community.
In an interview last week the Coronation Street newcomer revealed she designed a dress inspired by Pride Month for her friend Jessica Ellis, stating what a big moment that was for her as she too is part of the LGBT+ community.
“It was during Pride Month, so it was really important, we were representing the LGBTQ community and I’m part of that as well. I represent the B,” Kimberly revealed. “So for me to do that was really, really important.
“This was the discovery of when I was starting to learn to sew, so she put a lot of trust in me to do that,’ Kimberly joked.
In the interview, Kimberly also recalled the day she was cast on Coronation Street. “I remember getting the job, I got the call and I was in a basement and I fell to the floor… I was crying,” she said. “It’s been 10 years in the making, the first day was so weird, I was quite calm. You’re around legends, but I felt quite like I belong [here].”
