Pride in London, the organisers of the UK’s largest and most diverse Pride event, unveiled its 2024 Campaign today: #WeAreEverywhere. This campaign highlights the visibility of London's LGBTQ+ community and emphasises their potential as drivers of change by living authentically and unapologetically.
According to ILGA-Europe’s Rainbow Map, the United Kingdom has been regressing in LGBTQ+ rights annually since 2015. Trans and non-binary individuals are facing increased dehumanisation and targeting in political discourse, as their fundamental rights are swiftly deteriorating. The government has committed to a policy that essentially restricts discussions on gender identity in schools. Even the simple act of civil servants wearing rainbow lanyards is being labeled as “political.”
As ‘Pride in London’ writes, in response to these challenges, the campaign asserts:
“We are everywhere — and if our honesty and openness in living our lives are being doubted, we will assert ourselves with even greater volume and unapologetic strength.”
“This campaign addresses the escalating assaults on the queer community, especially those who are trans and non-binary. #WeAreEverywhere emphasizes that our community is not a mere political issue, but an essential part of London’s fabric, enriching our city daily,” stated Christopher Joell-Deshields, CEO of Pride in London. "In these critical and unjust times, leading up to the general election in July, this campaign and our upcoming Parade serve as a testament to the power, significance, and presence of our community.”

The #WeAreEverywhere campaign will showcase everyday Londoners who, though not in the limelight, are effecting change in their communities by simply being true to themselves every day. Through compelling visuals and heartfelt narratives, their contributions will be spotlighted across the capital via out-of-home advertisements, press coverage, digital platforms, and social media throughout Pride Month in preparation for the Pride in London 2024 Parade. In line with the campaign’s ethos of being visible and taking up space, Pride in London encourages all members of the LGBTQ+ community to participate by sharing their moments of everyday pride on social media using the hashtag #WeAreEverywhere.
This campaign builds upon Pride in London’s ongoing efforts to uplift and amplify LGBTQ+ individuals and organisations that are striving to make a positive impact, regardless of scale, including through initiatives like the Unity Awards and Pride in the City.
Scheduled for the 29th of June, the Pride in London 2024 Parade is set to be a powerful display of LGBTQ+ pride and unity, reminding all of London that #WeAreEverywhere. Further details regarding the Parade will be shared soon.
