I joined the Dorchester Collection Corporate Office P&C team in September 2022 as a Diversity and Belonging Champion and their commitment to LGBTQI+ inclusion is one of the top reasons why I joined the company. As a bi woman, this was very important to me because I've never felt comfortable being out in the workplace before. But from day one at Dorchester Collection I felt no fear in being my authentic self. There is LGBTQI+ representation at all levels of the company - including the C suite - and they have been championing LGBTQI+ rights for over 10 years now, not just for employees but in the luxury experiences we provide to our guests. There is huge effort put in to celebrating LGBTQI+ awareness days throughout the year, especially Pride, where they continuously strive to educate employees about the LGBTQI+ community and the challenges they face to enable courageous conversations that help foster empathy, compassion and a drive to take action.
