Some graduate schemes keep you in one building. Mars runs its early-careers programmes across a genuinely international footprint — and right now there are 196 live Mars roles on myGwork, including graduate and leadership-experience positions in Brussels, Arévalo in Spain, Kyiv, Warsaw and Dubai.
Mars is home to M&M'S, Pedigree, Ben's Original, Royal Canin, Skittles and Whiskas, spanning confectionery, family meals, petcare and veterinary services. But the line that says most about working there is how the company describes its own time horizon: at Mars, "we think in generations but treat every day as an opportunity to work towards the world we want."
That long view shows up in how it structures belonging. Mars runs Associate Resource Groups rather than a single diversity committee, and the list is unusually broad: PrideConnect for LGBTQ+ associates and allies, alongside NeuroConnect, REACH (race, ethnicity and cultural heritage), Mental Health, Diversability, Menopause, and Parents at Mars.
Two of those are worth pausing on. A dedicated Menopause group and a NeuroConnect group are still rare in consumer goods, and their presence suggests a company willing to name specific lived experiences rather than fold everything into one generic banner — which is usually a good signal for anyone whose experience does not fit a default template.
For LGBTQ+ graduates, an employer offering structured leadership programmes in several countries at once is worth more than it first appears: it means the option to build a career somewhere that fits your life, rather than taking the only role on offer.
