Sony Reportedly Wants To Introduce A Bisexual Spider-Man
There are rumors that Sony is developing a live-action ‘Spider-Verse’ movie which will reunite Tom Holland with his predecessors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Reportedly, Sony wants to portray Garfield’s version of Spider-Man as bisexual and give him a boyfriend in the film.
Back in 2013 Garfield had said in an interview that he thinks Spider-Man could be portrayed as gay.
“Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality? It’s hardly even groundbreaking! So why can’t he be gay?” he said, before adding: “I’ve been obsessed with Michael B. Jordan since The Wire. He’s so charismatic and talented.”
‘We Got This Covered’ recalls the end of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ where Gwen Stacey dies and mentions that Peter Parker usually moves on with Mary Jane Watson, “But why not give him a male partner instead,” it writes.
‘We Got This Covered’ is the same source that reported Disney Plus ordered a She-Hulk series and that Taskmaster would be the villain of ‘Black Widow’.
